Philosophy

More than staying fit during pregnancy.

Training through pregnancy and postpartum isn't about preserving a certain look, or rushing back to how your body was before. It's about building the physical capacity you actually need — for pregnancy, for birth, for recovery, and for the everyday demands of motherhood.

"Control the controllables."

Pregnancy, birth and postpartum hold a great deal we can't control. But strength, movement quality, physical capacity, preparation, recovery and confidence are all things we can work on together — deliberately, and at a pace that fits you.

It seems that many health professionals involved in antenatal care have not realized that one of their role should be to protect the emotional state of pregnant women.

About Bella

Meet Bella

Before anything else, Bella is a mother of two — a four-year-old and a ten-month-old — and has lived abroad for thirteen years. She knows first-hand how challenging pregnancy, birth and early motherhood can feel without family close by or the everyday support so many people take for granted.

That experience shapes how she works. Bella is a childbirth educator and prenatal & postpartum trainer based in Dubai, working with expecting and new parents who want clear, honest information and training that respects what their body is actually going through — rather than generic advice borrowed from a different stage of life.

Her work brings birth education and strength training together under one roof, so preparation is joined-up rather than split across different providers who rarely speak to each other.

She works with families across Dubai, and understands that many are navigating pregnancy and early parenthood without their usual support network nearby — bringing a knowledgeable, steady presence to fill that gap for whoever needs it.

What Training Means Here

Four principles behind every programme.

Strength

Strength over aesthetics

Training is about what your body can do, not simply what it looks like.

Evidence

Evidence over trends

Programming is guided by current evidence, professional education and your individual context — not social media fitness trends.

Progress

Progress over perfection

Some weeks will look different from others, particularly during pregnancy and early motherhood. Consistency doesn't require perfection.

Individual

Individual over generic

Pregnancy and postpartum aren't diagnoses, but they do require context. Training is adapted to the person in front of me — not simply labelled "pregnancy-safe."

Areas of Experience

Many clients arrive already managing something specific — training is built around it, not despite it. This includes experience working with:

Diastasis recti Pelvic girdle & SI joint pain Pelvic floor issues such as incontinence or hypertonicity Other common pregnancy and postpartum discomforts

Ongoing education and evidence-based practice are central to my coaching approach.

Programming is adapted accordingly, always alongside — not instead of — the appropriate healthcare provider.

Why Strength Training

What appropriately prescribed strength training can support.

Strength training, prescribed appropriately for your stage and circumstances, may support physical capacity, maintaining or building strength, daily function, confidence, general health and wellbeing, and a considered return to activity postpartum.

It isn't a guarantee of an easier or shorter labour, a particular type of birth, or the avoidance of pelvic floor issues — and I won't claim otherwise. What it can offer is a body that's better prepared for what's asked of it, and the understanding to know why you're training the way you are.

Client · Trained Through Two Pregnancies & Postpartum Recoveries
From Instagram

"…the months after birth were hard — lots of tears and frustration mixed with overwhelming love for our little girl. My osteopath, my pelvic floor physio and my PT and dear friend Bella worked together and gave me the tools I needed to strengthen my body back to balance. I feel a lot better now, and for that I'm grateful."

FAQ

Questions, answered.

When can I start strength training during pregnancy?+

In most cases, women who are already active can continue appropriate strength training throughout pregnancy, with adjustments as it progresses. Always let your healthcare provider know about your exercise plans.

Do I need to have trained before pregnancy?+

No. Some clients arrive with years of training experience, others are starting resistance training for the first time. Programming is built around where you are now.

Can I begin strength training if I am new to lifting?+

Yes — with appropriate coaching and a sensible starting point, pregnancy can be a good time to build a foundation in strength training.

How is training modified as pregnancy progresses?+

Exercise selection, loading and positions are adjusted stage by stage, based on how you're feeling, your symptoms and your goals — not a fixed template.

When can I start postpartum training?+

This depends on your birth, your recovery and any clearance needed from your healthcare provider. We build back progressively, starting wherever is appropriate for you.

Do you work with C-section clients?+

Yes. Programming accounts for surgical recovery and is progressed accordingly.

Where do you train clients in Dubai?+

I work flexibly — in your own gym or home, or at partner studios across Dubai — depending on what suits you best.

Do you offer small-group programmes?+

Small-group prenatal and postpartum programmes are currently in development — enquire to join the waitlist.

Can gyms or studios collaborate with you?+

Yes — I partner with gyms, studios and wellness spaces across Dubai. Get in touch to discuss a partnership.

Do you currently offer birth classes?+

Bella is a childbirth educator, currently completing her Antenatal Educator certification with Antenatal Training International. Standalone birth classes aren't currently bookable — this background informs her coaching and broader understanding of pregnancy and birth.

Depending on your circumstances, collaboration with — or clearance from — the appropriate healthcare professional may be needed before starting or resuming training.
